So many south coast beaches are pebbly, but if you like dry sand between your toes Witterings is the place to go.

National Trust
own East Head: it's a sandy spit at the extreme western end of West Witterings beach. The car park (not NT) is huge so
parking is no problem, apart perhaps from the price.
