Geevor Tin Mine Cornwall

Geevor was a working tin mine until the 1980s when falling tin prices caused it to close. But the place still has the feel of a working mine. There is an optional underground tour. |next attraction|

There is a museum, winding house and a small shop. The mill, where rock was crushed and the tin extracted on shaking tables, is huge. You can even have a go at gold panning. The Levant Mine is next door. The cafe does nice pasties. |map|  |more places to visit|
