Jamaica InnThis was originally a coaching inn in the middle of wild Bodmin Moor.
Now it houses the Smugglers Museum - it's amazing how ingenious smugglers were at hiding their contraband -
and a homage to Daphne du Maurier whose novel Jamaica Inn made the place famous. Her writing desk and typewriter are here.

But the main business of Jamaica Inn is - fittingly given its origin - as a hotel and restaurant to feed and water
weary travellers on their way to and from Cornwall.
