Lynton & Barnstaple Railway

Small but perfectly formed you might say. Only a mile or so of this picturesque line has so far been re-opened but eventually there will be 9 miles. In 2004 the first station, Woody Bay (though it's miles from the sea), was restored. |next attraction|

Lynton & Barnstaple Railway

Trains run just about every day April to October and on occasional days in the winter. It's 1ft 11½ins gauge so has bags of narrow gauge charm. As its name suggests, when it first opened in 1898 the railway ran the 19 miles from Lynton to Barnstaple. |map|  |more things to do|
