Mary Rose MuseumThey have built a great new visitor centre around the Mary Rose which now contains the artefacts
from the ship that were previously on show in the building pictured.
The museum tells the story of the Mary Rose sinking in 1545 and raising in 1982.

It's amazing what survived for 400 years in the silt of the Solent: wooden plates, cannon, longbows, clothes,
surgical instruments (not for the squeamish). The contents of the ship provide an insight into
the lives of ordinary people in Tudor times. There's also a film that tells the story of the ship.
