Mary RoseThe superb new building housing the Mary Rose is now open. They've built a completely new visitor centre around her.
She was Henry VIII's flagship and sank in the Solent during a battle with the French as Henry looked on horrified from
Southsea Castle.
She heeled over in a turn and flooded.

Since she was raised in 1982 the ship was constantly sprayed to saturate her timbers with resin so that
when she is eventually dried out she won't rot. It's nice, in 2013, to see her without the spray fog.
The Mary Rose Museum,
displays the ship's contents. We won that battle with the French, of course.
