Michelham PrioryThere's less here than, say, at
Mottisfont Abbey.
The main building comprises a one-up-one-down bit of the original 13th centuary
priory plus what remains of the Tudor mansion that was bolted onto it after the 1536 Dissolution, but this was refitted in
1927 after a fire.

There's a working blacksmith, impressive barn, an Iron Age roundhouse and a working watermill (when there's enough water).
The gardens, enclosed in a moat, are great for a picnic - which at least spares you the cafe which
could be so much nicer. There's often something on at Michelham, so do check the
website
before you go.
