Roman BathsThe Roman Baths in Bath were unusual in that they were large and filled with hot water,
fed by a natural hot spring.
Most Roman baths consisted of rooms with underfloor heating and a cold water plunge - and a hot tub if you were lucky.
Travellers from all over the Empire came here.

Today people from all over the world still come.
The superstructures of the buildings are 12th century or later, but the foundations are Roman and
the original Roman water channels are still in perfect working order.
The Roman Baths rank not just as something you have to see when in Bath, simply as something you have to see.
