Solent Sky MuseumThe Solent Sky Museum is a confused sort of place. It used to be called the Southampton Hall of Aviation and
has been renamed Solent Sky Museum.
Its main exhibit used to be called a Sunderland Flying Boat but is now called a Short Sandringham IV VH-BRC
- which only anoracks will know is the airliner conversion of the Sunderland.

From outside, the museum looks like a run down Staples warehouse.
But it is worth a visit: the history of the Spitfire is fascinating and the staff are excellent.
There are plans to move the museum to a new wow-factor waterfront location by 2015.
