Southsea CastleSouthsea Castle was built by Henry VIII to protect against the dastardly French. Shortly after it was completed
Henry visited - and watched the
Mary Rose
sink.

There's not a huge amount to see, but admission is free. The castle isn't open every day so
check
before you go. The large car park is shared with the
D-Day Museum so a visit to both might be in order.
