Trewithen Garden CornwallTrewithen garden is ideal for a very hot day as it largely consists of paths amongst trees.
If you're a plant person you will appreciate the diverse collection which includes several "champion" trees.
There are a couple of wooden lookout towers, one with a small camera obscura
(though it's not a patch on the one at Aberystwyth).

The garden is not large. However entry is expensive so it is unlikely to be busy and it is a tranquil place to visit.
There is a nice tearoom. Trelissick is about the same price
(but there's a car park charge) and is much bigger.
Heligan is more expensive but is huge.
Trewithen is worth a visit, particularly if you've done Heligan and Trelissick.
