West Somerset RailwayThe West Somerset Railway runs from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard near Taunton.
It's standard gauge and trains run every day in summer and on at least a few days each month in winter.

The railway used to be the main line to Minehead. Dr Beeching closed it in the 1960s, but volunteers started to rescue
it in 1972 and it's now a thriving heritage railway and a joy to ride, passing through some lovely scenery.
